  This is a post on just the hummus plate, which is the best I've tasted so far. The sandwiches are good, but the hummus is superb
  
  I'm a newby when it comes to hummus. I just discovered it 3 yrs ago and I love it!
  
  While hummus has only on my radar a few years, I've tasted enough to distinguish good from, fair, bad and really bad!
  
  I love the presentation of the hummus plate. I believe a well presented dish makes for a tastier experience. And the two times I ordered the hummus with my sandwich, I always raved about the hummus.
  
  The dish comes with a variety of bread to dip and the hummus is garnished with red onions and whole yellow pepperchini(bad spelling) peppers. The combination of the hummus and accompanying veggies make for a great combo!
  
  If you're on a diet, beware you could inhale the whole thing before you know it!

  I really wanted to love this place, because it's a cute little hole-in-the-wall local business, but the prices are a little steep and a few of their baked goods (bagels, muffins and croissants) are from Costco. I saw the bagel bags and plastic croissant containers in plain view. Now, don't get me wrong, I love me a Costco bagel or croissant, but I don't love or appreciate spending over $3 at a coffee shop for a Costco bagel with cream cheese. Like I said, I love Costco bagels, so my parmesan bagel was definitely yummy, but the cream cheese left a lot to be desired. I got their artichoke jalapeño cream cheese and there were maybe two slices of jalapeño in the tiny cup that they gave me.
  
  It truly only tasted like regular 'ol cream cheese, which was a bummer. Plus, the cost of the cream cheese alone was legit $1.35. It's just a little silly to me that cream cheese doesn't automatically come with a bagel. Who orders a bagel and no cream cheese? That's like charging someone for butter with their toast or cream with their coffee.
  
  Speaking of coffee, those prices were also a bit high, so I skipped that entirely. When you rival Starbucks and Peet's on pricing, I think that's an issue. There's also room to improve on wait times. I ordered a bagel and it took the gal a good 8 minutes to toast it, throw it in a bag and hand it to me. My bagel was fine and the three gals who were working were nice, so I figured three stars was fair. I just wish that, for being such a cute, local place, they'd make their own baked goods, stop nickel and diming and spare us a little on those big coffee shop prices.

  First of all when I walked in I was never greeted by any of the staff. So that friendly and warm feeling when you walk into a coffee shop was not there. Next was I ordered my Americano and a "make believe" BLT sandwich.
  
  My drink took forever there was nobody else they needed to be tended to. But I waited just because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Than my sandwich came and it was anything but that. Instead of getting a BLT sandwich I got, a sandwich smothered in maynoise, cheese, and turkey. That was not expected when I ordered a Bacon, Lettuce, Tomatoes on it. Plus all the other vegetable that make a  BLT sandwich complete.
  
  It is important to support local, however if I'm not appreciated as a customer, I do not need to return for an experience that was not what had been posted by others.
  
  Hope others our able to find a small coffee shop that can have a foundation of how to treat customers, and a positive environment.

  So I'm new to the area and wanted to try another small town place and support our locals. Went to Bean and Leaf Cafe. The girls are very sweet didn't give me hard time when I made a custom sandwich. Thy where very quick with my order. The food was so good. Best sandwich place I've been to. I got a hot chicken sandwich, the bread was very fresh and soft witch being Dutch crunch I was very surprised. Chicken was very tasty not dry at all. I'm happy I found a good spot in town. Will be coming back with family. And there salads look amaz too I might have to try one next ‍. Thank you girls for being accommodating to me.

  Wife decided to try this place for the first time while I ran into raleys for a few things.
  
  She said she will never return.  The staff was extremely unwelcoming.  No hello no anything...
  
  Not sure if it was because it was 3:25 and they close at 3:30.  But she felt very unwelcome and also the coffee she got was not great anyways that would warnt a return visit.
  
  This is very unfortunate as I like to visit any coffee establishment other than a Starbucks...
  
  Oh well there is many other places who like to gain new customers....
